According to the FMCSA long distance moving is when a residential or commercial move is transported across state lines no matter the miles? Although, in some cases when a move is more than 150 miles it can be considered long distance but within the same state like moving from Fort Lauderdale FL, to Winter Garden FL. In these cases flat rates are usually more budget friendly than being charged by the hour due to various factors (traffic, acts of nature etc.). We recommend our flat rate move prices when moving more than 150 miles in Florida. Out-of-state moves are more of a guarantee, and are at higher costs than local moves depending on the required services. These services are commonly required when moving long distance out of Florida or any other state:

  • Packing
  • Special item handling
  • Shuttle fees
  • Re-delivery
  • Stair/Elevator fee
  • Storage
  • Multiple stops
Local (In-State):

Unlike moving from Florida to another state or from another state to Florida, moving locally is generally moving within the same city or neighboring counties such as Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade County also known as the Tri-County area. These types of moves are charged by the hour along with any other additional services needed to complete the job. Labor Only (Minimum 2 Hands)

This is when you require JUST the helping hands. Labor only is usually required when you’ve got most of everything figured out for your move except for the physical aspect. This option by far is almost always the most affordable route and can make moving yourself also known as DIY move, a breeze with the expertise of 2, 4, or maybe even 10 happy helping hands. We use extensive material to lower the risks of any damages. Some of the most important materials movers use when professionally packing are:

Platinum Packing (Movers do the Packing)

For the ones that need the special touch. This service includes labor and material costs and has different options to choose from. Platinum packing allows the customer to focus on everything else but the physical strain that in turn results in mental strain that comes with moving, all you have to do is open your front door to allow Garage House Movers to do their job. Some of the options available to choose from are:

  • White glove packing - Extra care with gloves on while we pack
  • Full-Service Packing - The movers will pack anything needed in to be packed including furniture contents, dishware, sheds, tools etc. (only what fits inside a small, medium, large or wardrobe box. oversized artwork not included)
  • Partial Pack - A service describing a set of items to be packed for example: the kitchen only, books, closets tools, garage etc.
